wtd: 6mm thick 25mm wide rubber strip

the sort of thing they use to seal ships hatches in rough seas

its for the fuel tank brackets, somone gave me some sort of neoprene rubber (i think) foam, but it would collect water and rust the steel brackets in time, so instead of foam, i'm after solid stuff.

who has some?

If no-one has rubber maybe consider conveyor belting. might be someone who works in a factory where there may be an offcut that you could cut into strips.

Try Pentonville Rubber Products. Its not what you might first think, but it is a rubber supplier near kings cross.

Try SOLID RUBBER STRIP 5MM X 1.4M LONG X 50MM WIDE on eBay (end time 19-Feb-11 17:51:02 GMT) or you could use 2x3mm thick strips
