I need to make a "join" between my carpet and kitchen floor...

I dont supose anyone has a 1000mm x 25mm x 50mm piece of oak or other similar hardwood knocking about they want rid of?!

Got nothing personally.

But what about getting something off an old oak table or furniture in the wood recycling bins at the tip? Might have something useful and it'd be nice to have some hardwood re-used rather than recycled into chipboard!

Cheers,
James

Ask for a sample of solid oak flooring, many suppliers will be happy to give you one section to 'try' at home .

Hi we have all sorts of bits of hard wood here but the postage will be nigh on the price of a bit of oak from your local saw mills a bit like that should cost about £4 or so
