Mot looming not had no front lights since I modified them at cadwell last year so I better get some fitted I guess?
What's the MOT requirement ? If fitted they have to work but what if there are none ?
A motorbike can pass an MOT and be driven legally.but only during daylight hours with no lights, not too sure about a car though.
cant be that big a job to sort them, last thing you want is a restriction on when you can drive
cars MUST have lights. no daytime MOT for cars sadly

The MOT tester manual says "Headlamps are not required to be fitted to vehicles used only during the hours of daylight, which are fitted with neither front nor rear position lamps, etc. (See 1.1.A). " So to have no headlights, you can't have other lights? How very odd?

Rules for daytime means no lights front or back and no switches... my bike failed when I turned up with no lights aprt from a brake light and the indicator switch still on!
