I was speaking to richard at GBS the other day and they almost have one ready which he said should be half the price of the raceline one.

Not seen it yet.

why fit the rail the standard one clears the chasis in an Indy

lotusmadandy - 16/5/11 at 06:10 PM

Your right it clears the chassis in an indy by miles but this is
for my mates robin hood S7.

The chassis is about 2 1/2" higher and the standard thermostat
housing wont fit.

Sorry,i didn't explain myself properly.

He Has Steve,

He is going to swap to a silvertop over the winter.

That will be now then cos the summer has gone

He's after £70 for it. We had them made by a local engineering firm, they cost more than he's after for it.
I'll post a photo up when I'm back off my holiday, end of next week.

Any chance I can have one made by that same firm? Trying to avoid shelling out for the Raceline one.

Rob Allison - 29/6/11 at 05:19 PM

I'll see what I can sort out. Don't know what price they may be. Will check next week

The photo is of the first one we got made, before trimming them down a little but basically the same.
New thermostat goes in the raised round flange to route the water pipe outlet toward the cam belt end of the engine.
Looks like there going to be about £80. If anyone is interested.
