Before I bite the bullet and buy the stuff new. The following is required for the next phase of engine change.
All for Duratec Rear wheel drive application in the MK Indy.
- Bellhousing, perfer cable, but Hydraulic also considered (price dependant)
- Sump
- Clutch / Pressure plate etc.
- Flywheel (lightened perhaps) or standard Fiesta ST150 please
- Oil Filter adapter
- Gasket sets.
That should get me to the position where I can moutn the engine.
Or anything else Duratec'ish you may have available
Cheers

yeah, damn fools.
Im in the process of fitting a duratec to my locost too at the moment.
the engine is still in bits at the moment tho. hoping to get it fitted into the car in the next couple of months tho.
what induction are you going for?
you might want to speak to Fastdan, he has fitted a duratec (2.3) and makes engine mounts and inlets manifolds for them.
I see you're actually quite close in Bedford.
Give me a shout if you need a hand at all.
Thanks Redeye, Simon has been in touch a few times
What are you doing for the alternator out of interest - both of you? Just looking at racelines stuff here:
http://www.raceline.co.uk/products/part_section.asp?SectionID=19&CategoryID=1
Am I right in thinking that is £150 for JUST an alternator, plus another £149 for a mounting kit?! I'm sure its all top spec stuff,
but......ouch!

I was planning on using the standard ford focus pulley tensioner and mounting the alternator (probably a micra one) on the inlet side.
This seems to be the most straight forward approach.
I like to keep things simple, much like myself![]()
