After some intense debate, Machine Mart have not had my limited money for a CL430, but it remains an idea of what I believe I need. Relying on a local
turning shop (the local) is not a great way of getting along right now.
OK... I'm pretty much after anything that (actually) performs as expected (with some high expectations). Ebay is a minefield of some pretty rusty
junk, but there remain a few possibilities perhaps. There's a midland-based Warco I've looked at, which performs well.... but a tad pricey
(though realism may dawn upon him, I suspect he'll die first).
So...
Does anyone have (or know) of a good small lathe for sale (with tooling for the icing on the proverbial)? I'll quite happily take a Colchester
Student size thing, or (anything) that'll fit in my locost Transit.
If you have such a beast, and believe it's 'value' is less than £35,000,000 and isn't totally shagged 'easy fix' (Ebay
speak). then please drop me a line.
My thanks.
Have you tried Axminster tools.
Would not use Machine Mart lathe on anything harder than mild steel even with tiped tools.
AshG had a small lathe 4 sale.

I have a very nice Myford ml7 for sale due to me now having a Harrison L3.
the Myford has done very little work,is sat on a myford base on rising blocks and swarf tray.
It has a brand new three jaw chuck, a four jaw independant, and loads of accessories to carry out milling opperations.
I will throw in some tooling to get the new owner going.
I also have a myford dividing head to go with it. these make £250 on ebay on their own.
If interested please U2U ME.
Regards Denis.
PS pics are in my archive.

Contact Nobilla Machine Tools, he's a Colchester specialist and ex works engineer. Nice fella and very helpful I bought my lathes from him, and
he's got a shed full of extras.

Cheers,

I've had good kit from www.gandmtools.co.uk - the price does seem to reflect in condition there.

Where are you at - we still have 2 denford viceroys - one is 3 phase and other is single phase and a pair of machine mart cl300m machines which we
have always planned to sell off and convert into one brand new machine, sold out of a school so receipts etc all provided, all subject to the approval
of the bursar, of course!
located in Carlisle which might be a problem if you area long way away.
