I'm getting spikes in my RPM signal as reported in the MSL log file by TunerStudio, and I'd like to use an oscilloscope to see if it is
coming from :-
1) Crank sensor
2) Noise between CS and EDIS
3) EDIS
4) Noise between EDIS and MS
5) Somewhere else.
Has anyone in Beds/Herts/Bucks/Essex area got a scope I could borrow please? Otherwise I'm off to eBay....
Regards,
Dave
before you part with any money check out picoscope for a pc based solution
linky
I'd actually prefer a PC based scope, but £125+ for something I'll probably only use once is a bit sphincter clenching. I'm tight
If you draw a blank we have a redundant one but probably won't get near for a few days, not sure how well it would travel though

Dont forget to check for voltage spikes on the power feeds as well.
Good Luck

I have small scope I could lend you. It's in North London near Alexandra Palace.
Thanks for the offers. In the end I found one that plugs into the laptop that offers reasonable bandwidth and voltage tolerance out of the box (i.e.
I don't have to buy a bunch of extra probes on top) for not an extortionate amount of money. Hopefully by the time I get back from holiday
it'll be waiting for me. If it is, and it works, and it's good, I'll make it available for loan.
Regards,
Dave
