cheap car for me old man
sdh2903 - 22/10/11 at 05:54 PM

As above my mum and dad are in the uk for a couple of months over christmas and as I always do get them a car sorted out as its cheaper to buy than hire.

So I'm after something comfortable, Mot'd and reasonably economical, tax would be a bonus.

Something along the lines of an s40, mondeo, focus etc.

Budget: £1500 max.

Anyone got anything?

Got a very very nice Rover 45 1.4 5 door sitting in the driveway sage green just passed 42,000 miles on the clock FSH MOT untill late May, it came with a Kiwki fit reciept for new disks and pads.

I bought it 3 weeks ago just cos it was so nice and unmolested, since then I have crawled all over it with fine tooth comb and only found two faults heater blower didn't work on slow speed (fixed) and some idiot has swapped the radio.

£1050

Or hows about a Peugeot 406 auto? Will have a fresh MOT this week. Been rediculously reliable even though its had very little use in the past year as its been used as a second car for swmbo's grandpa when he's been staying with us.
£550.

W reg Mondeo Ghia X. Top of the range everything, CD, leather etc Dark Blue Pearl and fantastic condition with everything working. Granted I've not "crawled all over it with a fine tooth comb", but then you don't need to with a Mondeo cos it's not a Rover...

£795

???

It's MOT'd until March next year, I think the tax has just run out although, it's still insured, so if you wanted me to put some on to make it easier for you parents, then I wouldn't mind if it helped you out...

I've just uploaded 13 pics for you that I took this week...
