Hi I have been looking for a GT6 SU inlet manifold for a while now and was just wondering if anyone on here has one or knows where I can get my hands
on one.
Many thanks.
Sorry I don't but surely they were fitted with Strombergs?
Cheers

Nope, they all had stromberg 150's but a few varieties depending on age.
The usual "mod" was to use short dashpot (as in dolly sprint) HS6 carbs and either adaptor plates as sold by moss (have a pair here if
interested, also fit HS4's) or file the mounting holes oval on the carbs. Hone out the bore a little and away you go.
Many have tried to use the "better" late saloon manifold, but it needs serious work to fit and shut the bonnet.
Which SU's did you want to fit?
I think the MK1 GT6 was fitted with SUs and maybe some of the MK2s as well. The picture shows SUs and a VW Golf radiator fitted.

The Triumph 2500 TC had twin SUs as did some of the US spec TR6s IIRC but I suspect the ports may be different from the 2 lt engine
TR6 and saloon items not suitable, the GT6/vitesse manifold had a step down to clear the bonnet, all athers dont, with often disastrous consequences
Bike carb conversion perhaps?
I will probably go down the fuel injection route in the future but at the moment I have worn Strombergs fitted and they are the emission contolled
type and non adjustable, the cheapest interim upgrade, whilst keeping the car on the road seems to be the 1.75" SU route.
