Hi fellow Locosters, have any of you out there got a scuttle mould i could borrow, i want to have a go at making a scuttle.
The body work for my car is apparently from an Aries and im not sure if a locost/haynes/mk/mnr etc one would fit but im open to any kind for now.
What Have You
Just be aware that the Aries bodywork is quite low compared to other manufacturers. I have an Aries chassis, but used Luego bodywork as it gave me at least 2" more clearance above the engine compared to the aries bodywork.
Hmmm. I wonder what material you are thinking of using.

I made mine out of Ali, it was easy.
Couple of scrap pieces of mdf, cut to the front and rear shape I wanted, spaced out with a a few bits of wood, then cut Ali to fit either side, folded
sheet Ali over the same as making a bonnet then TIG welded it up.
I did have to beat a lip for the bonnet return, on this picture you can see the screw down the bottom, made to long so I could screw bits tightly to
the former, folded them under when finishing off.
It only took a couple of hours if that

was the Luego scuttle a good fit ?
Want it so I can have a go making one in carbon
Could make one out of ally I suppose. But won't match the rest of the car
