Can anyone recommend a (independent?) windscreen fitter in the West Midlands who is up for fitting a Fury windscreen. These are originally from a
Lotus Elan but are bonded into place on the Fury rather than using rubbers which is a bit out of the ordinary.
I guess may also be difficult to source but found this:

I would be claiming via my insurance and paying the excess (don't know if any fitter can do this?)
Thanks
Go through mobile windscreens. They do insurance jobs all the time and most windscreens are bonded nowadays.
Back in the days of Lotus elans (70's) we fitted bonded screens using special wired adhesive and a transformers.
Now with modern adhesives it's much easier. I bought a kit and had a pop at it on an old escort mk 5, quite easy really,
worked ok. Don't have to wait for the cooling period either. You might have to source your own screen though.

There are many companies with mobile windscreens in their name. Are you referring to one in particular?
If they struggle to know where to source the screen from I am hoping that I can point them in the right direction then they can still bill my
insurance company for the lot and I just pay the excess?
How about

Should have a fitter near you
This guy did mine... http://www.bettawindscreens.co.uk/
...and now works all over the country, mainly repairing leaking Clio sunroofs, but still does 'screens so could possibly fit you in on one of his
trips. He might not thank me for the referral though 'cos he moaned like fook when doing mine
Ask for Rob and tell him Adrian @ Sellars Garage gave you his name.

Autoglass did mine and provided the glass after mine cracked last year.
They sent along one of the "old school" guys. He took ages (well over the allowance) but did a great job.
Make sure they get the correct windscreen even though I told them it was Elan S2 the still brought along a screen from one of the later FWD Elans.
