Just picked up an MX5 1.8l Engine and box of the Bay,

Bargain at just £10.50

so im looking at getting my hands on an engine loom for said engine if anyone has one kicking about the back of the garage?

Don't bother with the factory loom or Ecu, go straight for megasquirt 2.

Have a look at mx5nutz, we have mapped loads if mx5s

Isn't it still worth getting hold of a loom, for things like coilpack plugs etc?

Not really, no
The Mazda coilpacks are known to fail, we used ford zetec ones.
There maybe a couple of connectors on the factory loom but that's it.

We normally make a new loom to suit.
