Got a 1.8 in mine and no need for a water rail just the standard housing on the back of the block

I am moving things around a bit.car is an ex racer. The plumbing is bang on its over cooling. Was runnning about 70 degrees last summer. Even with some restriction to the airflow in the nosecone. I need to chop a water rail about to incorporate a thermostat into the current setup.I dont want to use the standard housing as i need a remote rad filling cap. I might have to use those rover remote thermostat

cant you use a header tank as the remote resevoir allowing you to keep the standard stat housing
