Looking at buying a 2008-2010 Audi RS6
I don't have a particular car in scope yet but anybody give me any pointers on particular weak spots I should look out for
Many thanks and Season Greetings

Petrol station locations, mobile speed camera locations...
Tracking and proper servicing a must, look out for the upgraded breaks as they are very pricing when they need changing of pads and disc.
Cracking engin but a big car, RS4B4 4.2 n/a would be my shout as its more nimble and sounds amazing with a good exhaust, looks agrssive with out being
over the top also.
C6 RS6 appears to be generally OK. Heavy fast car will need lots of attention to bushes/arms/pads/discs. Some issue with the dry sump issue causing
the engine to fail if I remember correctly.
This is a friend of mine's old car
and MRC can get you over the 800BHP mark if you so desire

And you can change into 6th gear at an indicated 200MPH
Yeah, but I used to change into 2nd at 86 mph on my Busa. Oh, 100 mph in 5 secs, 60 in under 3; and 72 mpg at constant 45. And didn't get stuck
in traffic.
Then you could turbo it
The thought of repair bills on any Audi would scare me witless since I asked for a price for oil and water turbo feed pipes when turboing toy car.
Over £600! Made them myself for about £25 in the end.

My mate works in an Audi dealer and they had one in for a O2 sensor. £2500 later as the car was out of warranty.
Just be sure you are fully aware of all running costs. The O2 sensor is a complete drive train out job, physically impossible without removing
everything.
Nice cars though......Good luck
It goes without saying that any repair bills will be biblical in nature...
As for the comparison with a Busa, not really apples and apples now is it. I've sat in the back seat of one of these doing 180MPH down the
Autobahn with 3 other people in the car and a boot full of luggage....and that was mile after mile.
get stolen for fun.
robbers use them all the time. and smash and crab ram raiders
I suppose that's a recommendation as such
They have fully aluminium S Curve suspension, which is delicate, and because of this Audi make the wheels very soft so they buckle before the suspension does. the wheels have a massive offset so tend to flat spot the inner rims, check carefully.
I'm not aware of any RS6 C6 having wheel issues (I know at least 8 separate people who have owned them). Original B5 RS4 yes but not C6 RS6
Rs4b4 had the wheel issue as they are covered by audi warranty as long as the car is standard and has full audi servicing they will replace any buckled wheels
Hi, I know of a early 80 thou mile 03' or 04 reg S4 Avant V8 4.2 in that Nimbus blue that has no expense spared on it up for sale.
If you are in the market for one
We looked at one earlier this year, but the repair costs put us off in the end.
We settled on a 335i in the end, which is slightly better on repair costs and reportedly more reliable.
Being honest even the 335 with 340bhp is too much for uk roads.
