Advice wanted on a mid sized panel van!
Max gross 2500kg or less
Recommendations welcome.£6k max budget. Current favourite is the 104 bhp vw caddy maxi 1.9tdi. Any others to be considered?

There are various flavours of the thing, but the Transit Connect might come in something to suit your needs?
Plenty of the things around, which bodes well for tow bars, spares, parts and other things.

Are they decent vans? Don't know anything about them!

I run a Transit Connect for my electrical business and I enjoy driving it. It is not the fastest thing on the road, but it will sit at 80mph and return over 40mpg. Parts are cheap and plentiful, but if you are looking to tow with one they have a towing max with brakes 1150kg.

I have a short wheelbase caddy but it's the 2.0tdi 6spd version. If you can find one id to for the larger capacity... especially if your lugging anything heavy about! Just watch for dual mass flywheels/ cambelt and waterpump when buying one.
