hi,
looking camshaft for 2.0 pinto
need something not stock, want more performance
U2U
I ran a piper 285 years ago, it's not enough !
However the power is in the head on a pinto, have you got vizard's bible on this, a little of everything makes it powerful not just a cam
change.

Anything more than a fr32 fast road cam,and your looking at other internal changes like pistons and conrods. But don't quote me on it as am just
learning.I wish i had learned a bit more before i bought twin webber 55s.

A cam will help, but as above you'll only get the best out of it if your heads sorted
The ports on the std pinto head are too big if anything, but have a horrible shape with a really sharp corner to get round (the efi heads are a tiny
bit better as standard, but still not good)
So you can make quite big gains with the right combination of porting and cam without having to go as far as big valves etc...
Something like a 285 or fr32 should work well with minimal porting to sort out the worst bits of the head
Situation little different, mods:
Head ported, custom intake manifold, piston and con rods are different, but most it have big turbo Stock camshaft not good for that power (last
dyno run 160kw, 380nm).
So think ~270 duration will be good, Fast Road or etc
There's a bit about turbo pintos in the back of the Dave vizard book, would be interesting to see what he picked....
