Wtd: cam bearing tool

Another crossflow issue...

Noticed a small score on one of my camshaft bearings. Anyone got a recommendation for a suitable extractor and inserter tool? Machine shop want £80 plus vat to do the job for me. I figure I could get a tool for near that price...

I have never used a tool other than a thin screw driver to remove cam bushes in a X-flow and a socket and long extension to fit the new ones.....

OK thanks, did you just tap them in?

Last one I did, years ago, I used appropriate size sockets and a length of threaded bar, then tapped the new ones in.

Yes, use the correct size socket and tap gently but make sure all is lined up.....

Use socket as discussed earlier after fitting them get a piece of tool steel to give them a scrape out to ensure there are no burrs or tight spots
