Sierra Uprights or Swap for Cortina
the_big_1 - 29/9/16 at 10:06 AM

Hi guys,

I have a full set of front Cortina uprights including hub, callipers, discs carrier etc. but I need a Sierra setup.

Happy to swap if anyone would like to or buy the Sierra set up?

Cheers,

I have some Sierra uprights, hubs, 265mm solid discs, wishbones and cycle wing brackets I removed from my Westfield SDV when I recently converted to Westfield widetrack. No calipers as I used them, though I do have the Wilwood brackets so you could use Wilwood radials.

The cycle wing brackets include inserts for drag link (top ball joint) and I also have MK mushroom inserts.

Not considered the cost yet, will have a ponder or feel free to u2u an offer.

Can post pics

Hi,

Sure post them up please and an idea of price if you could.

Cheers!

This is straight after taking them off the car, so still got some road grime on them - but you can see how the Westfield cycle wings fit. I also fitted some longer studs as once the discs are on, std studs leave minimal thread engagement with alloy wheels.

Discs are 257mm not 265mm - they were part of this kit from RD - so you can buy nice new 4pot Powerlites for £89 each and have some pretty decent brakes. Not sure if the discs would suit other setups, so selling with the adaptors only.

Price?

Uprights & hubs (with new mushroom inserts and used ball joints) £70

Discs & Wilwood Powerlite fitting kit £40 (fitting kit is that price plus vat from RD)

Cycle wing brackets £30

All plus post - which might be a lot due to weight!

OT Chris but what pads does that kit in your link come with?
Cheers

The kit doesn't come with pads - I went for Mintex1144's
