does anyone out there have a shortened sump for a 1.8cvh, or any diagrams/instructions on the best method of shortening it myself?
cheers
Tom
This should be a good start

Here's a photo of mine.............
I made it level with the bottom of the bellhousing, by cutting the bottom off then removing the neccesary amount before welding the bottom back on
again ,to keep the drain plug.
I then drilled holes through what was the front of the sump to let the oil into the new front section which i boxed in level all the way, the pick up
pipe was then shortened ,and I also added some thicker strips to the front/bottom to form some skid protection.
For the dipstick I filled the engine to the recommended capacity and marked the dipstick to suit ...................hope that makes some
sense
