I've picked up some damage to two or three conrods due to what appears to be oil starvation.

The budget isn't great at the moment with an impending wedding to pay for, so I'm just after some standard conrods/pistons unless someone can tempt me with some cheap enough forged stuff.

From what I've seen on ebay I could buy a whole new engine for the price people are asking for 4 standard pistons. Getting the engine to NZ would be a problem, though. I've also seen a local 2.3 MZR engine for a nice price, but I'm not overly familiar with them at the moment. Not sure how interchangeable it would be with the parts I've got, either.

I bought a set removed from a crate engine by an engine builder and fitted them to my 88k mile engine a few years and they were great. Was cheaper than just buying a set of rings as mine were all gummed up!

I've got a set of 4 new (well removed from crate engine) includes big end bearings but no rings.
