Wanted: Volvo 240 Part

Long shot this one but thought I'd try anyway, I'm looking for a Volvo 240 front cross member and also a gearbox cross member.
I'm aware of the ebay offerings btw.

Can't help with parts, but a while back I saw a souped up 240 with "Need for Swede" bumper sticker - made me chuckle out loud

Im really enjoying life as a 240 owner. Im looking for a subframe to mock up the engine swap almost ready for.

Have you tried Lakes Garage at Wyboston, on the A1 Bedfordshire? they seem to have a vast Volvo collection.

I worked at Volvo for many a year and as parts went obsolete we would ship them to the owners club, try there, you never know

I have a scrap manual Volvo 960 which will lend its gearbox and B6254 NA engine. Its the NA 6 cylinder version of the volvo T5 engine. Its a great option for an upgrade path as the M90 gearbox bolts straight to all of Volvos Modular whiteblock engines and the RWD oil pan from the 960 can be used to turn the Volvo S80 6 cylinder turbo engine RWD. All bolt up stuff more or less. I have an Emerald K6 for electrical side of things. Replacement engines can be had for peanuts too.
