Looking for a cheap Ford based donor kitcar, that already was roadworthy once but is now a fixer upper or just in parts but comes with correctly
registered logbook. Jeremy Philips Design prefered a la Fisher/Sylva/locost/MNR etc...
Please PM me as I don't want to turn that into a "legal advise" thread.
Am located in Germany anyway...

Sounds like ringing at its finest
Yep......
A subtle post though.
Modified my initial post to sound less "ringing"....
Wouldn't it be perfectly fine, to buy a locost project from ebay with matching logbook for a few hundred pounds and using that as a donor or
"rebuilding" it? Not doing anything else here. Don't see why a locost (or similiar) can't be a donor? Don't know of any rule,
that the donor has to be a Ford Escort or so...

If you're IVA'ing what you build from the donor then I don't see a problem but if 'rebuilding' involves replacing the chassis
and using the 'proper registration' to avoid the IVA then its still ringing. Any vehicle that uses an existing registration must use the
original unmodified chassis or body/chassis unit.
If you doubt this just head over to the beach buggy forums as there is much discourse on this very subject there as DVLA are withdrawing registrations
for beach buggies that have used shortened beetle floorplans that were not IVA'd
