hi, im desperatly after a few small bits and bobs to make it all come together. yes, could go to scrappies but not during the week due to something
allegedly called "work", and just want to get busy on the build over the weekend. so please please if you have the following lying around,
drop me a line. i would be very much endebted, and offer cash reward (or cheque/paypal etc etc):
1. handbrake actuating lever for escort mk1 rear axle, offside.
2. 1x cortina brake pad fitting spring - bent bit of wire, 1 per pad per caliper, have 3 of the 4! just need 1 more.
3. set of ford escort/cortina wheel nuts (16 off).
4. er, any one have a handbrake set-up they don't need?
many thanks for your help one and all, will help me stay out of the hedges!
Hi m8
Can send ya plain wheel nuts if ur desperate... free apart for postage
J
i've got some wheel nuts too, only for steel rims though. Alloy ones need some sort of collar. And ive got a handbrake mechanism from a sierra.
It has a slight crack (they all seem to!) just by the grip, but a gaiter would cover it well.
If no one nearer has any then you can have them
a metro handbrake is a nice small alternative..
Ned.
I have a MK2 Escort handbrake if you're interested. Not too far away either.
Kelvin
thanks for all kind offers. wheel nuts sorted, so its down to the brake parts.
er... too many nice people!!! think ill go with mk2 escort option from kelvin, somehow feel like it will be easier to mate to escort rear axle, but as
usual im proabably wrong and the sierra onw is the one to go for. u2u on way.
thanks again all.
ps metro? prabably even better than ford but will learn too late!!
oh, nearly forgot
5. type 9 gear lever/stick.
cheers,
zane
again, i might have a suitable one!
theres a 89 diesel in the drive, should be a type 9 on that. The shifter is still on it. let me know before 0830 tomorrow, cos the scrap man is coming
for it!
anyone else confirm that the box on a 2.3 diesel is a standard type 9? cheers.
if its a type 9 ill have it!! cant face wasting a saturday up to my testies in freezing rain/mud/snow scrounging for bits of rusty steel!
cheers joel, and all others, list nearly complete - brake bits to go.
anything i can do for you?
