Very very short wiper arms and blades.
I need a pair of short wiper arms to fit mini wheel boxes, also small blades and fitting too.
I've got some classic universal arms and 10" wipers but they are miles to big and cant be cut down enough. So i'm now stuck and looking
for smaller,much smaller.
Lorry headlamp washers?
I just need a lorry breakers now
Mine came from Caterham's ,and I still had to cut a little off the end............
bob i think i may have a pair off a dutton pheaton i had collecting dust in my garage once..but finding them is a different story..ill have a look over the weekend ,and if i find them you can have them..i think they were chrome arms and someone had aerosol blacked them but it scratches off with your finger
Maybe a pair of headlight wipers off a high spec car, might be easier to find than the lorry ones and i would have thought big enough.
Maybe even go to the trouble of making it spray from the wiper arm (like some buses)
rather than having washer jets on the scuttle and trying to get the to point and spray in the right direction
Just a though
Ian
Most people I know use Landrover ones and still have to cut them down. I had to do this with my last car that had a Caterham windcreen.
Hi Bob,
I bought mine from DAX, I think! I'm not at home so can't lay my hands on the receipt. Probably more than you want to pay, but the arms are
adjustable, and they fit a Lolocost screen.
DAXR 061A Wiper Arm (Each) £ 15.75
DAXR 061B Wiper Blade (Each) £ 9.50
heyzee thanks for that
If all else fails i have a mate with loads of old llandrovers clocking up his yard.
Hi Bob,
It's a long time since I set up my wiper assembly, but I do remember it was one of the fiddliest parts of the entire build, with a lot more
variables involved than you first think.
One thing for sure is that you're not going to find any arms off the shelf that will satisfy all the precise dimensions of your setup -
you'll have to make something up. Their length has to such that the blade just clears the top of the screen at the top of the sweep, and the
bottom at the bottom - if you see what I mean.
Again from memory, I think I used standard mini arms, the extention is fitted with two rivets, you drill these out, shorten the extention to your
precise requirement, and then refit it with a couple of small nuts and bolts. You'll then have to adjust the crank angle at the end of the arms
so that the blades when parked sit parallel to the bottom edge of the screen - well I did say it was fiddlely, but much harder to explain than
actually do. (Especially after too many glasses of red wine....)

Used MG Midget arms and blades , had to modify arms slightly . Got them from the MG owners club at a fairly good price IIRC.
mookaloid has saved the day
I asked where he got his from and they are premier wiring as james has mentioned,a quick phone call has secured a pair of arms (£5 each) and a pair of
flat wipers (£2 each)
Nice price
