T piece on Blade carbs
MAB - 21/6/05 at 11:24 AM

Wanted please - fuel T peice off Blade RRT carbs!

I have a problem in that one of the brown T-pieces that connect between the carb float chambers and onto one of the fuel pipes has cracked into several pieces.....

Does anyone have a spare one they would be prepared to sell please?

Alternatively - does anyone have a cheap set of blade carbs at a reasonable price that I could dismantle and use the T-piece? - I've checked Ebay but nothing available in the next couple of days...

Many thanks, - Mark.

You could always try superglue

As you know Mr short - I did! - and it got me to Beverley to get it registered! - however I would now like to drive around safely!

But thanks for the humour!

Could be bad news mate. Same happened to me and local breaker had non. Honda wanted 14.99 for a new one. So thats what i ended up with. Happy huntin.

Could you get 6mm or 8mm solder ring fitting to fit in there. They use them on microbore plumbing so a good supplier should carry them and they'd be less than £14.99.

Thanks for the suggestions guys...

I've spoken to local Honda dealer who wants £19.99 & P&P for one!
.....however their main supplier doesn't have any and is quoting 10 days + for delivery!!!

Waiting 10 days after only passing SVA and registering car 4 days ago could be difficult!

Local dealer was also suggesting that the T peices are specific to the year of manufacture of the carbs etc- not sure I buy this because they all look pretty much the same even if different years have different part numbers etc! - oh well - I'll have to wait!

Regards, Mark

Anyone come up with a locost solution to this problem? Picked a set of carbs up on eBay and one of the Ts is broken. The carbs were only £19 so not worth £19.99 for a new one!
