I dont have a pump Syd but you could try a breakers. Old shape Audi 80's and Mk1 Golfs (and possibly early mk2's) had an in line fuel pump (Bosch) under the car just in front of the offside wheel arch. These are quite good pumps and will mount elsewhere quite easily.
I dont think the solid state facets are too expensive tho'.

Whats it for?

i recall it being mentioned that some range rovers (v8's iirc) were fitted with silver top facet pumps.

facets tend to be high pressure the one i've just thrown in the bin was 45psi for fuel injection caused no end of problems on my blade and my twin webbered pinto lept over-riding the float needles filling engine and exhaust with fuel...something like an old mg one is ideal (loads on ebay)
most modern cars are fuel injection so most modern pumps are high pressure
