you know the stuff - chav's use it to move the exhaust to the centre of the car. Well i want some 2" about ..... ohhh, dunno, how much you got?

want to see if i can use it to make my bendy section between manifold and rear can & let it take out the vibration between engine and can.

Pop down your local exhaust place - they'll often cut a bit off for you.

I actually bought a 2M length from CAF for about £15 but I've used/given away most of it now.

MikeR - 30/9/05 at 12:24 PM

who / what is CAF?

Central Auto Factors ?????

stevebubs - 30/9/05 at 06:52 PM

Sorry - Camberley Auto Factors

MikeR - 2/10/05 at 09:55 AM

right, had a look at the car 50cm should be perfect.

Can anyone help?

chriscook - 12/10/05 at 01:38 PM

MikeR - did you find anywhere local stocking it? I would like to stop poisoning myself running the engine in the garage......

Thanks,
Chris

MikeR - 12/10/05 at 04:36 PM

yep, my local autofactors stock it (well i have to order it) they only do 2m lengths at around 40ish+ quid for the stainless steel. Now this is a bargin compared to what others sell it for but ........ i was going to see what i could get from donnington this weekend before i ordered it in.

If i do get more than i need and you want to buy some off me i'll be more than willing to sell you a metre at cost + postage.

ch1ll1 - 12/10/05 at 05:31 PM

most exhaust supply or good car shops will stock if or even local motor factors
do it
just bought some from jayar components 2m for £18

chriscook - 12/10/05 at 07:50 PM

MikeR,

Which factors is your local one? I'm also in nuneaton, Car User is normally my first stop as they give me good prices.

Ta,
Chris

MikeR - 12/10/05 at 09:21 PM

I went to Central Auto Supplies (road to hinckley from A5) as i've found they supply most people! (halfords included at times)

Is Car User the one, errrm, stockingford side of town?

chriscook - 12/10/05 at 11:48 PM

Car User is on Attleborough Fields ind estate, you are thinking of Round Towers Spares i think. Also Kaleidopart behind trinity motors are quite good.

Where in nuneaton are you?

MikeR - 13/10/05 at 12:19 PM

Good god, i'm in Attleborough (Just off Crowhill Rd).

whats the address of car user? didn't they used to have a shop in the little shopping bit behind the crows nest pub?

Going to have to meet up and compare progress (or lack of it in my case)
