thought a cheap project would be to get an old mini and put a motorbike engine in even if it looks a wreck is just a bit of fun
are chain differentials available? or would my best bet to mount the engine sideways just behind the front seats connected directly to the prop shaft?
look at the sylva r1ot. It has the diff out of a fiesta with a chain ring bolted on where the crown wheel used to be.
Mini's don't have a prop as they are front wheel drive but if you take a look at the Z-cars website they are experts at this. They will give you plenty of help. The other route to try is to go along to a grasstrack meet as it is a popular choice for those grassers out there!
cheers, ill check out the zcars mini build DVD aswell, looks like there alot more work involved than i first thought but should all be possible
Is it not possible to use the Mini diff with a sprocket bolted on a la berkley? Bike engine then mounts transversly at the front? You might shred a few diffs I suppose, but cheap as chips?
whats a la berkley?
