Crossflow steel crankshaft pulley (+timing wheel ?)
UncleFista - 14/5/06 at 08:51 PM

We're gonna be messing about with a megajolt install soon and I'm thinking about the fitting a the toothed timing wheel.

The engine still has the pressed steel crankshaft pulley, so I'm wanting a proper steel jobby to begin with. Anyone have one knocking around ?

I was also wondering if there's anyone out there fabricating pulleys with the timing teeth incorporated ?

Cheers all

just ordered one this morning from:

http://www.trigger-wheels.com/

not the cheapest but the universal one is what i have used on the last 2 megajolt crossflow installs and is a good wheel easily bolted or welded.

dont bother with a second hand steel pulley new ones are only £27.50 from burton (Part No: FP224) and at least you know its a gooden, bought a second hand one last year and found out to my cost it had been clouted and was out of balance.

Mark,
If it's any consolation, the CVH one doesn't fit the crossflow.
Cheer up

Right, thanks all, looks like it's gonna be a aftermarket trigger-wheel somehow mounted on a steel pulley from Burtons, I still might buy a cheapo pulley from ebay to practice my butchery on

Cheers, Tony
