Rubber brake hoses

looking for a source for the rubber hose that connects remote resevoir to master cylinder.

Does it need to be special stuff for brake fluid and marked as such or can I use fuel pipe ?

Cheers

Andy

Definately has to be the cotton braided special stuff or it will fail SVA.
Your local hydraulic shop will stock it and give you a spec sheet to convince Mr SVA.

If not - Merlin Motorsport can sort you out

I used stainless braided hose for the reservoir to cylinders and it turned out to be Sytec FH013 inside (which is the red cotton braided stuff).

Not all fuel lines are compatible with brake fluid though so beware of that, FH013 is and heres the spec sheet.

The hose used to supply the brake matser cylinder from the reservoir should be marked with a standard.

Eg. Din 73-379bB
suitable for lead substitute/Unleaded, brake fluid(low pressure) diesel/water/Air.
This is a common standard for low pressure fuel lines.

High pressure fuel hose is Din73379E and is not suitable for brake fluid
