hi my donor engine (nissan 1.8t) has 3 built in temp sensors but all of them report utter boll0x to my MS 138f cant be correct so i'm going to
use a inline one before the rad but wheres a good place to get one ?
many thanks

best vfm afaik, they do different sizes too.
Clearly you still need a sender though.

thermostats working fine but i cant get a reading on the temp gauge.
Oops - misunderstandy! Get one like the_fbi says and any ford sender!
I actually have a spare somewhere you can have?
I'll try and find @ the weekend
A blue Bosch sensor as fitted to vauxhalls peugots etc works well and is near the correct value without changing the bias resistor.Ford senders are
near to 27k at room temp, Bosch and the correct GM ones are about 3k I used a 2,4k bias resistor and bosch sensor and it is within a few degrees of
correct temperature.
Paul
so you think my sender in the car is ok and just needs a resistor putting inline ?
