I have definitely got one somewhere - brand new too! I'll have a dig around in the garage later and see what happens.

so hows that work then ?

Its a very basic, but effective, way of getting more boost. You simply open the valve, by very small amounts, to bleed off the air before you reach what ever is limiting your boost. Usually a vacume pipe to an actuator. That way you fool say the actuator into thinking it hasnt reached its set limit before it opens.
Does that make sense?
Just dont over do it and set it up with a boost gauge

You can also increase the boost by putting a couple of washers under the actuator mounting.

Its a 1.5td Isuzu engine where the actuator is fixed to the bracket so I cant move it back, unlike my old Montego Turbo that had a threaded rod between the actuator and the wastegate.

Couple of minutes with a 10mm spanner and 2bar... WHOOOOOSH!!!!!

WAAAAAAARRRRRR, WHOOSH, WAAAAAAAAAAARRR, WHOOSH

150MPH in no time at all, you just had to be brave enough to hang onto the car. Sierra Cosworth? No chance of keeping up!
