Wanted, Remote thermostat
nitram38 - 11/11/06 at 11:46 AM

I want to move my thermostat from it's original postion on my k series to the top hose.
QED want 125 + vat for a straight through thermostat housing.
Anyone got something similar, say two straight thermostat housings that I can use back to back?
They must have the outlets straight up and not at 90 degrees.
I have been down the local breakers and no joy. Motor factors not much help!

I am looking for just 1 inlet and one outlet.
The 75 is 3 way, one is a bypass.

This is the one from a ZZR1100. Only 25mm though, so I guess not big enough for you?

The photo shows it on it's side, but it has one inlet on one side and the outlet on the other side. Two 90 degree silcone bends and you might be OK?

Surely the ZZR1100 exits thro the frame on the opposite side to the one you've pictured, & therefore requires a flat flange to bolt up to? Or do they change on later models (I'm talking '94 C1)
The Rover SD1 is the car I recall as having an inline stat, someones selling them brand new - might be Car Builder Solutions?

Yeah, sorry should have mentioned, the ZZR1100 C is cast into the frame, the D is a seperate unit.

I have used a Rover SD1 one , it is inline and has 32mm inlet and outlet and a smaller side inlet for bypass about 16mm and was fitted to the 6 cylinder versions only.
I think the car builder solutions ones are BMW parts so may be worth asking at a motor factors.
