Got my Black 8 Ball of Ebay about £3. (For my V8)

Worth a trawl.

Also to fit, drill the usual hole. Make sure its straight so the ball is square on the stick.

I use hot melt Glue.
DONT fill the hole.

Heat / warm the end of the gear stick with a blowlamp. smear plenty of glue on the stick and shove on the ball and press down hard. Align before it sets.

Putting the glue in the hole give a problem. The cold steel stick sets the glue before you can get the ball fully seated on the stick.
Guess how I know this

I tapped my green snooker ball with M10 thread to fit the Sierra gear lever so it screws on like the original. Pubs sometimes have spare or replacement balls and they turn up on car boot sales and flea markets as well.
