fury exhaust

hi guys

Does anyone know if there is a max ditance an exhaust can stick out of the side of the car (fury) or is it just down to common sense?
Thanks.

Not sure- but I know you have to be careful with the Fury in that the exhaust is enclosed in the side pods and gets rather toasty.... Some people cuts cooling holes in the sidepod sides to let air in.... Or lag the cannister / manifold....

if it were mine, I'd want the exhaust on the outside like a cobra (or a seven)

Do you know what a Fury looks like? Having the exhaust on the outside would be daft IMHO. It works on sevens and cobras because it is within the floorplan on a Fury type car it would just be asking to be ripped off!

I worked on a Sylva Stylus - a predecessor to the fury a while ago. The exhaust on that was underneath. This meant that there was very poor ground clearance. Putting a very hot exhaust inside of a fibreglass sill seems daft to me. Also, if the exhaust leaks, it may let fumes into the cabin - very dangerous.
