918 blade tempreture sender wanted
mark chandler - 5/2/07 at 09:09 PM

Hi all,

I have an 893 blade engine but using a 918 set of clocks.

All works okay except for the tempreture gauge, its a digital readout and when cold show 108 degrees, when luke warm 136 degrees, its maximum allowed.

So does anyone have a sender suitable to my clocks for beer tokens ?

Regards Mark

I havent got a sender but we did exactly the same i have a 919 (97 blade) and we are using the newer 98 clocks.

Be very careful when removing the existing sensor as they break off very easily, you are very lucky if you get it out without using a easy out!

I would recommend getting it warm prior to removal.

What are you doing about the speedo sensor?

Mike

Hi, Thanks for the tip.

Speedo is to be driven using an old ABS sensor running off the sprocket adaptor.

I am running 185/60/13 wheels with a 3.65 lsd diff, this equates to 9 magnets attached to the adaptor which gets me within 5% of true speed.

Alternative is 33 magnets on the halfshaft for this size rolling radius of wheel.

These are the magnets I,m using
magnet linky thing

I have 41 spare magnets now if you want a few.

Regards Mark
