At Castle Combe last Saturday I discovered my old silencer is a bit, er, loud (110db. ), so I need a replacement silencer. Does anyone have a repackable 6" silencer lying around to fit the standard Westfield VX four into one manifold, that they want to sell? (I have got the right tool to measure accurately, but I'm pretty sure it's 2" inlet pipe). I really don't want to pay for a new silencer as I've only just bought a new bonnet at £220 + various other bits for the car, and swmbo is getting a little cross at my spending on "that bloody car!". (She wants to spend the money on the house and holidays. Madness!)
