just realised i need some P clips to hold the wiring under the scuttle panel before I install the engine.

I noticed just after putting the box' and prop in!

Question: Anywhere in the North East I can go and buy some black ones Wednesday?? Maplin and RS have them in white at a push but I would prefer black ones

You could have had all my spares but I know what you mean - white is just so hard to keep clean!

I think I have some white ones left over too!

how many do you need? what size?

I got a few, black but quite small - think they are the brake pipe size, what's that, about 4.7625 mm?

or if pushed for time, make some from a strip of aluminium, then sleeve with some rubber.
