Sierra steering column link (part that bolts/slides onto triangular column section). Anyone got a spare kicking about?
Theres one on ebay at the min. Search for locost and itl come up.
Yeah, i am watchin it, but it seems incredibly overpriced. A full shaft (with U/Js and sliding coupling) from Stu Taylor is only £60... Just thought I would ask in case someone had one spare.
I have this if it's any use.
It's had it's end cut off.

If that is the part the bolts/slides onto the the column then YES PLEASE!!! How much would you like for it? It is just the slider I need as I already have the rack end fitting... Just need to connect the two together!
As I'm using a Nova column I know very little about the Sierra one.
I think the Sierra column finishes with a three sided box section and this is the bit that clamps onto it.
I also think that you then weld a length of tube onto the rod on the left hand side of pic.
Please, someone correct me if this is wrong.
I was given this part ages ago and told "you'll need one of these".
I don't want anything for it other than postage as it's now of no use to me.

Paul,
You are correct - if 'twybrow' has a standard Sierra column that has a triangular end, then that is the part that he needs.
It can be welded to a suitable length of thick-wall steel tube to mate up with the UJ at the steering rack.

Twybrow, U2U me your address if you want it. I'll get it in the post.
