TimC - 18/4/07 at 11:41 AM

Folks

I'm looking to change my daily driver and have a short-list of a Peugeot 309 GTI and BMW 5 Series.

The crunch is that I only want to spend £1k.

Please keep one's eyes peeled.

Ta

Ebay. I was looking at older 5 series only last week.

Youl struggle to find an un thrashed 309 gti i reckon. Chavs like them,..

Fair point on the 309 - shame because they're great cars (although no beauties.)

Will also consider 3-series.

{Edited due to pi$$-poor grammar.}

that will be 205's, chavs dont like the longer wheel base.

keep your eyes out for a goodwood, great looking cars with full leather and a bonus if you get the wooden steering wheel/gearknob

You'll get an early 306 Dturbo within that price as well.Worth a look.

I have a 306 DTurbo with a blown motor sat on my parent's drive if anyone wants it - really not my cup o'cha.

I've had 3 x 309s previously so I do like them. Longer wheelbase makes the car much less likely to snap-oversteer than the 205.

Tim,

What wheels are on the 306 ? Is the bonnet a minter (not green is it ?)

Sorry to be the vulture for parts, but hey ho.

Forget the Pugs, you need a nice black 5 series

Lyn.

Alloys, yes, blue.

But there's a whole car to shift not just a bonnet and rims!
