I'm after a decent rollcab, but not snap on priced!!!
There seems to be naff all on ebay, its all stupidly priced snap on stuff or chinese crap.
I'm after one that will take a biggish topbox, has strong wheels, and is fairly careworn so cheaper, but not so knackered that the drawers fall
out when you open them!
cheers
Nat
Dare I say it ...... Halfrauds do (or did) a reasonably priced one last time I looked
I was looking a while ago, and decided to go the temporary route and bought the one that was on offer in halfords.
It's a pile of poo - but it'll do for now.
The alternative is to buy a second hand snap-on one from ebay (I know you've already said no to this!), but you would know for a fact, that you
would get back what you paid for it all day long!!!
Steve
I have the cheap Red one from Halfrauds.
Not that impressed. The hinges / slide outs bits are failing / bending, next time I will splash out on Teng or simmilar with ball bearing rollers
etc., also the thin drawers cant hold either my metric or imperial spanners. and the drawers wont shut easily, as they are not deep enough.
Sorry to say, but just not man enough for the job. IMHO

I have had the Halfrauds Professional setup for 5 or more years, without any problems at all. The money saved went into some Halfrauds professional tools and they are still going strong too (and they do get used a fair bit too)
I got a blue Draper rolling bearing one off eBay for around the £100 mark, not as good as some of the more expensive ones but hey still a rolling bearing cab for about £100. The equivalent one in Halfrauds would have been a lot more than that.
There's a company on ebay that sells 'graded' Sealey rollcabs - I got one hugely cheaper than even the standard discount because it had
a dent in the case which didn't effect the workings - might be worth a search?

Halfrauds do a decent pro set up ing reyand silver whichis very reasonable if you get one of their trade cards -issued with managers discretion- tell
'em you have 10 cars and do all the maintenance yourself!
try www.machinemart.co.uk

i got a roller cab from machine mart - the "HD" range. compared it with halfords offering at the time and there was no contest. cost >200 quid though so not the cheapest, but a hell of a lot cheaper than snap on!
i got a blue clarke hd one, very strong and in use everyday. cant fault it. halford was doing a deal with a roll cab full of tools, neatly layed out
in foam think it was 250, not too bad for the money.

My dad's got the black one from Halfords ('industrial' I think?), it's pretty good IMO. It certainly feels like it'll outlast
my mid-range Clarke ones from Machine Mart
