It seems I will need a working handbrake warning light.

So does anyone have, or know where i can get, a hand brake warning light switch for a sierra handbrake?

You don't actually need a handbrake switch for sva. All you are required to have is a switch to test your brake fluid level circuit. Most manufactures make this part of the handbrake to make things easy.
