Pinto Inlet manifold take off elbow
RichardK - 18/7/07 at 07:12 PM

I have two of the coolent pipes sealed off but I'm short of one, you can see the hole that needs sealing, has anyone got a spare elbow I can have to weld up, welded up the one on the right which seems ok, haven't got access to a tig set so can't just weld a plate over.

See picture below:

TIA

can you not use a blank end from the plumbers merchant?.
its a std pipe thread so a blank/stop should be available,

Mitch

Not thought of that, what do I ask for? so I don't look like too much of a prat

IIRC I've fed my crankcase ventilation into that hole. Seems to work ok!

Either measure its rough size i.e 1/2" BSP..

Or take the (brake servo?) fitting off thats to its right in the picture as it looks the same size?.. and take that to the merchants and ask them for a plug to match.

I used the plug from a 1/2" stop end from B&Q on mine

I may have one, i have got a spare manifold but not sure whats on it, will look tonight and let you know!
I thought that port was for the crankcase breather aswell?
