One with an input flange and two drive shaft outputs.

Don't forget the case and gears!

Best would probably be from a Freelander as the ratio is short and the best Sierra ones are as rare as seaside donkeys in Iceland!

My 3.62 suits my R1 just fine for the road. On a track, that means I pass peak power at 103 MPH in top. Beyond 105 MPH, with falling power, acceleration is limited. A 3.14 diff would shift that point up to 121 MPH, at the expense of less acceleration in 1st gear.

I've got a 3.38 diff in mine.
I get to 55 in 1st and it seems to pull quite nicely up past the 110 mark with lots of revs to go.

well ive got a 3.62 in atm (non lsd) and it spins up the wheels in 1st gear when it hit around 8k. I think i was doing around 50 at about 7k revs, not totally sure as didnt have an exhaust on at the time and it was my first spin up the road. I will have to wait till next week when i get my car back to really know...
