Crossflow sump - shortened / flat / shallow or standard one for modifying, nr Sheffield if possible

I'm after a 1.6 711M crossflow sump, hopefully shortened / lowered. I realise this isn't strictly locost, but I have recently put a xflow into my Minor. However i don't have any real ground clearance... (steering racks in the wrong bloody place).

I was just hoping some one had one (eBay's a little short on them). Otherwise where can i get one for a decentish price (burtons / vulcan are a well out of the price range) or failing that a standard one to modify. I have read the decent selection of past threads and so now have some idea of where to start...

I have access to a MIG welder but have read this isn't good for getting a decent seal...

Its all still a bit baffling, but i will just have to try and wing it (sorry had to)....

I mig welded my CVH sump [fairly badly] and it doesn't leak.

I did a fair bit of grinding / re-welding to plug the holes though.

If you look on my website under 'special parts' you'll see what I had to do to modify my sump.

Just don't get a 1300 sump by mistake - now that IS frustrating!
