if you already have the grit gun, i made my cabinet from a cut down plastic 40 gallon barrel

I made mine.
Cost me less than £50
25 for the gun, and 25 for the metal.
I did a 700mm cube.

For anything worthwhile, the issue is not the cabinet, but having a decent compressor to drive it with.

I have a 3Hp 15CFM with a 150 litre tank, and ir runs the motor permanantly.
Mind you it warks very well.

I did a big cube so I can get a Wheel rim in it.
I used a scrap hoover for the dust extraction, and one with micro filter in it.

Got the rubber gloves from machine mark spares people.
Oh and buy some of those peel off window strips, as your viewing window will be opaque within an hour of use
again, from Machine Mart spares people.

Make sure it is well sealed, as the dust is harmful to your lungs.
I use a decent cartridge filter mask when using my cabinet, and the cab doesnt leak, but I am not taking chances, as silicosis is quite nasty.
Bear in mind that even with a factory bought cabinet, the air has to exit the chamber somewhere, and WILL have an abrasive dust content. Consider this aspect carefully when using ANY sandblasting equipment.

Piccy in my archive. Red Oxide box on right of a garage picture.

Hope that helps.

I've already got a compressor soits just the cabinet and gun that i need. i've had a look on ebay and i can pick up a gun really cheap.
i might look at making one but i think it would be easier to buy one. the plus side of making my own is i can make it the size i want. ideally 'd need one big enough to get a wheel in
