If anybody knows a carrier to send biggish items to Canada for a less than criminal price, please let me know. I have tried to have a couple of items shipped and the guys have been quoted ridiculous amounts of money to do it. Surely someone has contacts to ship stuff for a reasonable price to Canada!

Try Airfreight companies in the Yellow Pages. They are sometimes cheaper than going by sea.
