URGENT Wanted - Xflow sump 1.3

Hi all,

came home today looking forward to a trip in the car and taking a mate out, and noticed a large patch of oil on garage floor.

It appears I've holed to sump!

so wanted is a sump for my 1.3 flow.

cash waiting.

only temporary, it's grounded the sump plug and sump, i'm working on that now, but will need a new one for serviceing

if you are handly with the wlder, they you could weld a thicker bottom plate and move the sump plug to the side.

halfords sell a variety of sump plugs, weld in a nut on the inside and job done - the copper washer would do the sealing - and before any one say it., it does work as I did this on my v8 sump for a oil temp sender.

Did my shortened xflow sump like that, i welded a 1.5mm bottom on and made a drain plug and boss to weld to the side .

Got one off a fiesta x flow, brand new, cover the postage and its yours. Will go and get some pics...

Hi Pete, many thanks for the offer, but Mine is from a Escort RWD, and I suspect the sunps are different.

Unless someone can confirm different??? (please)

Yes they are slightly different , the fiesta one is a front bowl and the mounting holes are slighly different so would need a fiesta type timing cover, which in turn needs the correct fiesta cam sprockets or else they wear through the timing case as soon as the tensioner wears a bit, guess how i found out.
