as above, no idea where to get one from

Do you just have a short pipe out of the tank?

If so same as mine - i got a one way valve from aquarium place and piped that in high up above tank. Plastic jobbie, maybe £2 max. (In aquariums they are used when you fit air stones so the water doesnt siphon back from the tank if you have a power cut).

Try thinkautomotive.
Make sure that it is a two way breather or you will get a pressurized tank, especially if it is fuel injection with a return pipe.
Get one that will close if inverted.

mine has a small pipe coming out of the filler pipe but has a bolt in it. M8 kinda size.

do you get a strong smell of petrol using a breather?

car is carbbed but might go injection later on. no return pipe or swirl pot.

works fine as is but Im guessing it should really have a breather.

No smells whatsoever from mine. i think filler cap is vented as well so the aquarium bit probs has limited function.

has this resisted petrol?

I mean to make one using some brass tubing, a spring from a ballpoint pen and a small ball bearing as I can quite easily over fill the tank resulting in petrol pishing out of the breather!!

If your cap is vented then you don't need a tank breather.

As mentioned, you should really go for a two way valve which can be quite pricey. Alternatively you can use a long tube which loops around the bottom of the tank and exits as high as possible. That will prevent spillages in a roll situation and allows vapour to escape but air to enter the tank.
