My father-in-law hs been on the look-out for the past 18months. He's now got the green light from SWMBO and he's eager to spend his pennies.
We've been to look at one today that was advertised at £7250 and it was "in excellent condition". Apart from the rust coming through
the rear wing tops and the scuttle panel. And the baldy tyre, the remould and the odd sized one. And the soft top was scruffy. And the door cards were
torn........
So, if anyone knows of a MGB Roaster, chrome bumper, locallish to Sheffield-Derby-Teesside area, please get in touch.
The money is no problem for the right car.

Be careful, anything with rust coming through like you say isn't worth half what was being asked, and beware also of stated re-shell's the
shells have been available since the late 80's so some of those can be 20 years old now.
If you want to come and look where they do go, and the work involved in fixing them, my B is presently completely stripped, I'm in the S26 area.
Just got CD of an MG is born watched it all at the weekend and have totally gone off restoring a shell, way too much will be rusty crap 
If you get a fixer upper just get a new shell and start from there!

A project is not an option!! We are looking for a car that someone else has spent their hard earned cash on.
He's considering a Heritage Shell car from a reputable dealer (if there is such a thing) but they are around £12-15k.
